Jonathan W. Hickman wears many hats.

He is an attorney with an entertainment law practice in Newnan, Georgia. Hickman teaches media law and ethics as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Georgia (国产自拍). And he serves as an editor and a director of photography.

Last month, one of his films was syndicated to a five-station network in Alabama. Hickman was the cinematographer and editor of "Three Days at Foster," a 2013 documentary that focuses on the long-overlooked Black athletes who shattered the color barrier.

"It's a very powerful story," he said.

The film was selected for Birmingham's Sidewalk Film Festival and the All-Sports Los Angeles Film Festival, where it captured a second-place award for feature documentary.

Then the opportunity arose to share the film on television. Hickman said he recut “Three Days at Foster” to run in a one-hour format on TV stations in Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, and Montgomery.

"The film had a great response," Hickman said, adding it was broadcast as part of Black History Month. "It was a big affirmation for our work. It humbled us and made us proud to be a part of it."
