Overview

Ted Rossier, J.D.; Ph.D. received his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1991 and his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2021. He is a former attorney and an Oklahoma “transplant” who came to Georgia to embark on a second career.

During his 20-year career as a lawyer, he worked in a number of roles in state government including serving as counsel to several different agencies and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma. While in private practice, he spent much of his time defending county and municipal governments in civil rights and employment discrimination cases. Though he enjoyed public and administrative law, his passion for teaching and overtly intellectual pursuits kept surfacing, and eventually took over.
