Presidential Ambassadors enjoy a unique leadership development experience. Benefits include the following:

  • Opportunities to interact with the President and other University administrators
  • Serve as liaison to the President and other Cabinet members on key student issues
  • Opportunities to network with influential business and community leaders and dignitaries
  • Enhanced skills in professionalism, etiquette, leadership, philanthropy, public relations, and event planning and execution

A week for a Presidential Ambassador includes working 10 to 15 hours, with the hours divided between the Office of University Events and the Office of the President. The hours a Presidential Ambassador typically works during a week are determined by their class schedule and other weekly obligations, and the hours are set at the beginning of each semester.

Associate Presidential Ambassador

As an Associate Presidential Ambassador, you'll play a pivotal role in providing exceptional and discreet customer service within the Office of the President. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will work in the reception space at Price Memorial assisting visitors, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the President’s cabinet. You'll work closely with high-level constituents and utilize various software tools like Series25 and Microsoft. This role requires strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to professionalism and excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Greet and assist guests at the Price Memorial Reception.
    • Assists Coordinator, Event Services and Operations with event reservations across five campuses using Series25.
    • Prepare reports, signage, and planning materials using Microsoft Office.
    • Provide support during events, including commencement ceremonies.
    • Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and contribute to ongoing office functions.
  • Requirements:
    • Must be a 国产自拍 student enrolled in at least six credit hours.
    • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Ability to work a minimum of 5-8 hours per week, plus additional event support.

Presidential Ambassador

As a Presidential Ambassador, you'll be a student leader within the Office of the President. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you'll mentor Associate Presidential Ambassadors, plan and execute commencement ceremonies, and provide high-quality, discreet customer service to university constituents.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Mentor Associate Presidential Ambassadors.
    • Assist in the planning, preparing, and execution of commencement ceremonies.
    • Provide administrative and event support for the Office of the President.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office to create reports, signage, and event materials.
    • Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and contribute to ongoing office functions.
  • Requirements:
    • Must be a 国产自拍 student enrolled in at least six credit hours.
    • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Ability to work 8-15 hours per week, plus additional event support.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Senior Presidential Ambassador

  • Purpose:
    • The promotion to Senior Presidential Ambassador is designed to recognize and empower an outstanding Presidential Ambassador(s) who has consistently demonstrated dedication to serving the Office of the President. This promotion offers increased responsibilities, leadership opportunities, and additional benefits, all while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the Presidential Ambassador Program.
  • Application and Criteria:
    • To be eligible for promotion, candidates must have served as a Presidential Ambassador for at least three semesters and maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.2. Interested individuals must notify the Program Coordinator of their intent to pursue promotion at least three weeks before the semester's end.
    • The Program Coordinator will select one candidate for promotion per review cycle, but a review is not required every semester, and the position of Senior Presidential Ambassador will consist of no more than two Senior Presidential Ambassadors serving at a time.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Hiring: Lead the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
    • Onboarding: Update procedures and policies, manage the Presidential Ambassador Manual, and oversee new hire communications and training.
    • Retreat Planning: Assist in creating and executing retreat schedules and lead retreat sessions.
    • Communications: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members, participate in bi-weekly meetings with the Program Coordinator, lead staff meetings, and manage team communications.
    • Goals & PPD: Implement programmatic goals and oversee each Ambassador’s Personal and Professional Development (PPD) plan.
    • Committees: Participate in university-wide event planning committees as assigned.

Note: Senior Presidential Ambassadors will receive a pay raise, priority in scheduling office hours, enhanced soft skills, and expanded leadership opportunities within and beyond the program.
