Overview
Erin McIntosh is a process-driven abstract painter working in acrylics and watercolor. Born in Delaware Ohio, she received her M.F.A. in Painting from The University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art, in Athens, GA, where she resided for nearly two decades. Erin has taught for UGA’s Cortona, Italy study abroad program and has had residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Atlantic Center for the Arts. She exhibits her work across the United States and her work has been published in New American Paintings, The Georgia Review and Create Magazine. McIntosh’s work is represented by Gregg Irby Gallery in Atlanta, GA; Weinberger Fine Art in Kansas City, MO; and Articles Gallery in St. Petersburg, FL.
Outside the classroom, Erin serves as faculty advisor for the Art Club and has led student field trips to New York City and Atlanta to visit artist studios, museums, and galleries. Erin has worked collaboratively with professors of biology at 国产自拍; their research team was awarded a Presidential Innovation Incentive Award.
In 2021, Erin was awarded both "Higher Education Art Educator of the Year" by the Georgia Art Education Association and the "Hal B. Rhodes III Faculty Member of the Year Award" in the Department of Visual Arts.
