ID Card Photo Submission
Photo Submission Criteria
- Take a new photo.
- Make sure the photo is clear and high quality.
- Use good lighting. Photos that are dark, overexposed, or show glare on glasses will not be accepted.
- Centered, including both shoulder with full face in view using a neutral facial expression or a natural smile.
Important
Attending orientation? Photos must be submitted three days prior to your orientation date.
You will be notified via email within two business days if your photo was accepted or rejected.
Note: Online photo submission for new terms will not be available until the below dates.

How Do I Submit My Photo?
Step One: Be sure your photo meets the guidelines.
Step Two: using your 国产自拍 credentials. (Do not add the @ung.edu to your username.)
Step Three: Select "profile" from your account main screen.
Step Four: Choose "Submit a New Photo."
Step Five: Choose either the .JPG or .PNG file format and upload your photo.
Step Six: Review your photo to make sure it meets the guidelines and choose "Submit & Sign Out."
How Do I Receive My ID Card?
- I will attend an in person orientation - Card Services will be handing out ID cards, during their orientation check in, to all students who submit an online photo before their orientation deadline. Anyone who does not submit a photo by their orientation deadline, will need to pick up their ID Card from card services during normal business hours.
- I will not attend an in person orientation - Your ID can be requested at any Card Services location. You will need to bring a Photo ID to pick up your Nighthawks Card. There may be a charge for a replacement ID card of $25.00.
Does Your Photo Meet the Guidelines?
Do
- Use a color photo in a jpg format
- Make sure your eyes are open and visible
- Crop the photo to leave room above your head and include both shoulders in the photo
Examples of photos that will be approved.
Don't
- Group photos or pictures with pets
- Sunglasses, hats or anything that obstructs the face
- Tilted heads, selfies, and glamour shots
- Comical photos or photos with gestures
- Low-quality or dark images
- Social media filters

*Photos that are inappropriate will be reviewed by the Dean of Students. University of North Georgia Card Services reserves the right to refuse any photos that do not meet these requirements. Failure to adhere to photo submission guidelines is subject to appropriate University action as deemed necessary.
Photo Tips
- If you have a problem submitting a photo cropped from a larger photo, you may need to retake your photo in a smaller size or use a different photo editing tool.
- Photos taken with a cell phone may require better lighting.
